We currently have 2 servers with Windows 2000 Server installed and both are running as domain controllers (1 Primary, 1 Secondary). We are looking to add a 3rd server as an Exchange Server. However, in looking for copies of Win 2000 Server to purchase, we frequently find copies of Advanced Server at similar prices. However, despite all of my searching, I can find no documentation that explicitly states whether Windows 2000 Advanced Server can be used in a configuration where the other servers are running Windows 2000 Server.

Can anyone point me to documentation defining whether or not this is a valid configuration?

Thanks,
Dan
