Hello all,

Im in the process of replicating public folders from one exchange 2000 server to another 2000 server (same site/domain). I've become too familiar with the big issues exchange 2000 has with this process. Ive taken over a position where the exchange servers have been neglected and Im here to try to solve the transfer.

1. In ESM under each storage group, when I look at the old server (first server in site) I see about 100 public/system folders, in the second exchange server I see about 20 public/system folders. When I look under Floder>Public Folders - How do I know what server those PF are on? I'm not sure which servr is hosting the PF or if both are.

2. Do I literally have to go to the properties on every single folder, (about 100 of them), on the first server and add the second exchange server to replicate?

3. Does every system folder really have to replicate over, doesnt the second server have its default system folders?

4. How do I verify that the SMTP virtual server is configured on the new server, and is itok to have both servers configured as SMTP virtual serves?
