Remote Access with SBS 2003
This is the first time that I am using Small Business Server so please be patient with me. I have six users that will be accessing the server locally on the network. The I have two users who need to be able to access the server remotely. I read that there is a remote workspace feature in SBS 2003. How does it work? Can I use Terminal Server?

1. Depends on how you mean. If you mean when connecting via Terminal Services or Remote Desktop, yes, users can print locally, HOWEVER, the drivers for their local printers must be available on the remote system or the local printers won't appear. For example, use an old HP LaserJet 5, and it will be available. Use a new Samsung laser printer, and it won't be available until you install a driver on the remote system.
2. If you are, for the first time, deploying Small Business Server, you should be using the http://server/connectcomputer method of joining workstations to the domain. This will run a wizard that will allow you to migrate old workgroup profiles into new domain profiles, preserving settings. I believe I have some links on this on the same site.

1. Can a remote user print to a local printer? I did not see anything about this. Only printing to network printers.
2. I have users that have been working on a peer to peer type network and now I will be deploying the SBS server. Is there any way to preserve their profiles so that their Outlook, My Docs and desktop will continue to look the same as they are used to after they are connected to the domain?
