Can not generate INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements

When I drag a gridview control onto my webform, I get to a point where I can configure my Select Statement. I click the "specify columns from a table or view" and then select my table. Now I select that I want to use all of the columns, and then select the Advanced button. Here is the problem. I would like to select "Generate INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements" and "Use Optimistic Concurrency" from the Advanced SQL Generation Options dialog box, but it won't let me. The choices are grayed out. WHY????? I have loaded this software at work and at home and have the same problem at both places. I am using different databases and webpages at both places and still have this problem. I have watched the video multiple times and don't see what I am missing. Any ideas?

<<I have loaded this software>>
What software are you refering to ?
Learn to code what you want without "this software" ?

I hope you didn't expect any point for that comment.
Thanks for nothing asshole!
Let's see...Your unspecified software doesn't work either at home or at work. And, presumably, you are the only person that has this problem. Maybe watching the video again will help. Or perhaps a call to the manufacturer of "this software" would be a better  idea?

As for your description of me: I guess it depends on your point of view.

Personally, I think your problem lies somewhere between the monitor and the chair.
I come to this site for answers to my questions. I do not pay money to be treated like an idiot or insulted, I pay for answers. Assholes like you need to join a forum where you can vent your sexual frustrations or problems with your daddy touching you too much.
You have the supreme benefit of knowing everything about your problem, while we have to play sily guessing games and give you the chance to snipe at us. Can you begin to understand my frustration?

Let's review:

1. What software is giving you the fits?
2. Have you installed a database (MSSQL/MySql/MS Access)?
3. When do you have this problem (I mean, when creating a new project, etc.)?
4. Does anyone else at work use this software? If so, do they have the same problem?
5. Have you visited the manufacture's web site and perused the FAQ?
6. Have you asked the manufacturer for assistance?
7. What is it that you are trying to do?
8. What steps have you taken to figure this out (so we don't re-create the wheel)?
