Norton Ghost Boot Disk gives error 36000

Hello ,
I am trying to create a Ghost Boot Disk using Ghost 8.2 and i have used prodos.exe to get the right intel pro 1000 drivers for the Dell 1850.
When the ghost menu appears and i select disk to image i get an "internal error 36000 .An internal inconsistency has been detected "

Any ideas ?

thanks

1) I would run the WIndows consistency check for all partitions that you plan to backup/image.
This is from the properties - tools of each partition in windows.

2) Check that your network share is working before doing Ghost. Copy a test file to the networked drive.

I hope this helps !

i will run the consistency check but in terms of a share it doesnt even go to that screen.
Also i will try to create a standard boot disk , save the imgage localy and then burn it on a dvd.
I will let u now how it works. Give me a few mins to try out.
Is this a server using RAID or a special controller ?

That could also be an issue.

it is a Dell 1850 with a perc 4si and the disks are raid 1 (mirror )
when i tried to run a image from disk the menus come up with no errors. And this is a boot disk with out tcp/ip . It is a local boot disk. So i am more convinced that this is a raid issue.
How can i overcome the raid issue though ?
DO you still get an error when trying to do disk to Image ?

I would try Parttion to image if at all possible.
How are these drives partitioned ?

You will need a server version of Ghost or Acronis to work on a Server with Raid usually.

see acronis.com and Symantec for Server ( Enterprise ) versions of imaging SW.

I hope this helps !
yes , still getting the error. I tried , partition to image , disk to image , but still the same error.
I will see if we have a server version of Ghost.
Thanks. I will let you know
is there any way i can load the Raid drivers, during the boot disk . How can i load the drivers ?on which  stage ?
Real Hardware RAID should not need drivers from DOS .

I am not sure about the Perc.

I would see if  Dell has any DOS drivers for the RAID controller.

I would think that the BIOS would recognize it natively.

As I mentioned, you may need a server version for imaging like Acronis.

http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/diskdirector/

I hope this helps !
I have installed the right drivers for the RAID from Dell. It boots up and finds all the drivers. No errors this time during boot up, however i still get the inetrnal inconsistency error 36000
I started with ghost.exe  -WS- -WD- but no luck.

Any ideas ?

I did 6 terminal servers perc 4 2850 dell ones and extended partitiions on all of them, without a flaw.
Now i am doing a data server perc 3 with newer scsi drives and i am getting a consistency error. I Hope a find a better answer to this and yes i am using ghost 8.2 corporate.
