12 divided by 0 is an error.<br />
(at least in the reals, there are ways to define it if you're working in a Riemann sphere or real projective line or division wheel)<br />

A simple question…and answer, so I thought; what is 12 divided by 0?<br />

I thought the answer would be zero, however, I’m told it’s not. &nbsp;Math is certainly not my forte, but I’m not sure what other answer is possible.<br />

If I use my calculator, I get an Error, and a similar response in Excel.<br />

I thought the answer would be zero, however, I’m told it’s not.  Math is certainly not my forte, but I’m not sure what other answer is possible.

If I use my calculator, I get an Error, and a similar response in Excel.
