I am looking for an ODBC console app that I can call from a shell script.  Basically just like "isql", but for ODBC.  I have found the source for "iodbc" at  http://www.firstsql.com/iodbc/ and THINK it is exactly what I need.  However, I don't have any development tools on my OpenServer 5.0.6 box right now (C compiler, etc.) and hate to install a bunch of dev tools just to compile that one program.

1) Does anyone know of another commercially available "odbc console app" for OpenServer that I could just buy?

or

2) Is it possible to have someone else compile the source on their OpenServer machine and run the binary on my machine?  (if so, anyone willing to do this and what would you charge?)

Thanks
