upload photo and create thumbnail with PHP

Hi All,

I need a PHP script(s) that will allow me to upload photos' and create a thumbnail at the same time. I've two folders /images/ and /thunbnails/ - ideally i'd llike it to rename the photo to the same thing in both folders?

Any suggestions?

I'd suggest that you have a look at php photo album - http://www.phpalbum.net/ - this uploads the photos, and stores thumbnails, you should be able to modify this for your exact requirements.

i've made a front-end for displaying the photo's. Currently i'm manually creating the thumbnails and using FTP to transer them.

But i'd like to do this via a web-based from using soimething similar to this function; http://phpthumb.sourceforge.net/

You say you'd like to have something similar to phpthumb; why not use phpthumb itself? What would you like to see different?

i can use phpthumb, just though someone might have a script i could modify. Save me having to make myself.

not sure if phpthumb() can be used to create thumbnails, it looks like its used to create them on the fly (i.e when users browsing).
