Hi, a my CEO clicked on a link in an email for a newsletter and now he keeps getting this in his Inbox over and over, as if his mailbox is attempting to send to a bad address over and over:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      'contact@darklilac.com?subject=unsubscribe' on 1/22/2007 9:48 AM
The format of the e-mail address is incorrect.  Check the address, look up the recipient in the Address Book, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

I suspected a virus so ran a virus scan on both our Exchange Server 2003 and his machine (Dell D610 running Outlook 2000).  Neither showed any results.  Ran Ad-Aware, got nothing but the usual suspects.  Any ideas?

I would look in the queues on the server to see if the email address has got stuck.
The email address is badly formatted, so it stuck somewhere.

poweruser32, we run Exchange 2003 on a Win2k server so the hotfix referred to on your first link is unavailable to us since we don't have an extended support contract.  I tried your second link and got a "Binding is not unique" error when I tried to apply the filters to the SMTP Virtual Server Properties.  Any Ideas?
Sembee,  I checked the queues and they are all empty.
