I am attempting to send and receive data from a web solution using a socket created in C# via ASP.NET. There is a lot of information out there regarding C# and IP sockets. However, I've yet to find a concise solution for creating a socket, connecting to an IP address, sending data, and then listening for data coming back. Accomplishing this from a Windows application is not the goal -- I'm needing to connect directly from the ASP.NET web page, preferably using C#. I'm not bent on C# if there is a better route. At this point my web solution instantiates a COM Object that handles all of the IP communications but I'm attempting to remove the COM Object from the architecture. Any pointers?
