Nightly backups for Subversion / SVN

Hi,

I have a server running SVN 1.3.0. The repository in quesiton is in /svn/bluhalo. What is the best way to backup the repository once a night? The backup location is /mnt/backup/svn/

At the moment I have a cron entry:
0 18 * * * svn-hot-backup /svn/bluhalo/ /mnt/backup/svn/

But this generates a new file each day so gradually increases in size. I want just one file rotated each day. I was going to enter an entry in cron before that one to delete the contents of the /mnt/backup/svn directory, but then if the next backup fails then I lose any backup.
