Unable to Burn CD's; Used to Work

There's a DVD+-RW GWA4164B drive in my desktop computer that worked just fine several weeks ago, but when I tried to burn a CD today, it didn't. I've tried several different brands of recordable CD's, I've made sure my driver and firmware are up to date, and I've tried several burning applications, all to no avail.

When I try to burn to a CD in Ahead Nero, for example, it asks me to "Insert empty disc to write to", even though there is one in the drive, which it then ejects.

Something I have noticed is that in my list of hardware in Windows XP (Pro SP2), there is another device listed in the DVD-/CD-Rom section called "TV7311W FPS032X SCSI CdRom Device". Which is strange, because I do not have another CD-Rom drive in my computer. I've tried un-installing this driver, but it keeps coming back. I'm afraid some application I have installed put it in there, but I don't know which application that could've been. Also, a Google search for the model name doesn't return any results.

Here's what the Nero log says: ("stuurprogramma" = "driver" - i've added some more translation notes inbetween)
