Custom HTML form sets problem in ISA 2006

I've just upgraded to ISA 2006 from 2004 and am trying to get the custom form sets feature working so I can provide custom logon forms for several sites. Hardly a show stopper but as I need to completely redo the old 2004 form after the upgrade I thought it would be nice.

Anyway it seems whatever I do, ISA always hands out the standard form from the 'ISA' folder. This even applies to OWA despite it being set to use 'Exchange'! The custom form folders are configured at rule level, the listener is not configured for it. (When I have tried configuring the listener with a custom form folder name I get access denied errors?). I've been restarting the Firewall service after slightly ammending graphic files to work out which folder it uses. If I manually change the end of the url in the browser to a different number for formdir= then it works. It just seems to be ignoring the config that is set to use the custom folders automatically.

Any help much appreciated. It surely must be something simple but I've gone through the technet doc 'Customizing HTML forms in ISA Server 2006' and no joy.

Thanks in advance

Duh, read the post why don't I ........

I'll have a go over the weekend and see what I get. Are the forms local to the ISA or are you hosting/getting them elsewhere?
Is the the eval version of 2006?

When you say you upgraded. is that removing 2004 and installing 2006 cleanly or you have installed 2006 over the top of 2004?

Thanks Keith. The forms are local to the ISA server. I originally installed over the top of 2004 which looked to be going fine until right at the end when it said it failed to uninstall MSDE 2000 sp3 and it all went wrong. I then nuked the box and restored a backup of it using Backup Exec. This didn't actually put ISA 2004 back on properly but the files were there. I then tried installing 2006 (not eval) again and it all worked. I'm beginning to suspect that the problem is something to do with all this shenanigans, although everything else seems to be working fine.

Might nuke the server again and not restore using Backup Exec this time, just do clean install of 2006 and restore ISA config.

What do you think?

Cheers

Why didn't I think of that! Thanks Keith, I ran the BPA and sussed out from the results that I needed to have seperate listeners for each site in order for it to pick the correct forms directory. I configured the listener itself to point to the new forms folders rather than the rule and it all works great!

Thanks for your help
