IIS6 Config files
Where does IIS 6 store the config files for the websites that you create in it? I am looking to do a mass edit of a root directory path across several websites. I would like to edit the file(s) directly instead of going through IIS6. Is this possible? I do know that I can export the sites to a XML file and then edit the XML file and the import it again, but this seems like it should be easier than that... Any help is greatly appreciated.
You can update C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsr v\MBSchema .xml file manually. Make sure to keep a backup and be careful while editing.
