I need a fix for the following error "missing export NTDLL.DLL:ntOpenProcessToken"
Hi,
I have Windows Millenium edition. I am trying to install Dreamweaver 8 on my computer. It says that I have to update my Windows Installer to get this done. When I try to update Windows Installer through the Dreamweaver 8 InstallWizard it gives me an error message that says "The WINDOWSINSTALLER-KB884016- V2-X86.EXE file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:NtOpenProcessTok en".
When I download an updated version of Windows Installer from Microsoft it says that I already have it present on my computer. But it won't run and says the same error message.
I've seen many questions and answers to similar problems with NTDLL.DLL, but they don't seem to work or apply to my problem. I am unable to run SFC, my computer says it can't find it. I don't have the original disk to reload the driver as I purchased the computer second hand and don't have all the original disks. (But I have had the computer for a couple of years now with no problems.) I try to download the driver from the web to replace the one in WINDOWS/SYSTEM but it says that the file is in use and I can't replace it. I also tried to do it in safe mode but it gives the same message that the file is in use.
In the end, I just want to be able to run Dreamweaver 8 that I just downloaded from Adobe. If there are any fixes to get the Dreamweaver 8 to extract the files and work, I would be happy with that. But as soon as the InstallWizard gets to a certain point in the extraction, I get that NTDLL.DLL error message.
Am I out of luck?
Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the delay, my internet has been done the past couple of days. That's the downside of living on a Caribbean Island, unreliable internet service at times... I somehow didn't notice that it doesn't run on my system so I guess that is the ultimate answer. It doesn't matter what I do, I won't be able to run it on my system. I'll have to upgrade to a new computer shortly.
Thanks for the help.
