asked on
bas or mod?
I've seen bas and mod as prefixes. What's the difference between the two?
nothing, just a matter of preference.. denoting something as per the author.
some uses the prefix bas for basic functions
Hi eliwil,
bas and mod both are commonly used to prefix module names. bas is part of the popular Reddick VBA naming conventions, described here:

We use bas prefix for standard code modules and cls for class modules.
As both types are modules, prefix mod is a bit disturbing.
But it is really up to yourself. Any prefix will do but you should/must use one to avoid naming conflicts with other objects.
