Unable to remove mapped drives.

I have a client who uses his home computer for work.  In the past he has connected to the office via VPN and has had mapped drives for the server at the office.  The server has been replaced and the drive mappings changed, however I am unable to remove the old map drives from MyComputer on his machine.  When I attempt to remove them by right-clicking, using Tools-Disconnect, or using net use x: /delete from the cmd prompt, I am presented with the same error; The network connection could not be found.

Do they appear as "Disconnected network drive" in Windows explorer?

Also have a look here.

Another pointer to it being Symantec AV 10

However there is the reply right under (Number 13) that that points to using the "net use /persistent:no" command to alievate the symptoms.
AND reply 17 looks interesting too.

That one seems very promising if you read through it.

Simply delete them from the registry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Network\Persistent Connections]

Reboot, done.

ASKER

I figured this out last night on my own.  I dropped out to  a DOS prompt and turned off persistent and re-booted the machine.

Thanks to everyone.
If you want a refund you will have to ask for it in community support.
