What are the risks, etc for adding a Linux Server to a Windows 2003 AD Domain?

Hi there,

We run a large Windows 2003 AD domain.  At present, this domain contains only Windows 2003 Servers.

We would like to add two Linux Servers to this domain but before we do we would like to determine the following:

1. Is there anything special we need to do in AD before we add these servers to the domain?
2. Are there are risks for adding a Linux server to a domain of this kind (both to the domain and the Linux server itself)?
3. Do the servers just get added as member servers?
4. Is the rollback the same as if we were adding a Windows 2003 server (ie if we decided to remove the servers from the domain in case something went wrong)?
5. Does the authentication work in the same way?

Anything else that we should be aware of? :)

Thanks!

Pete
