I have a view with some fairly complicated formulas to show the users the form information in the most useful way.
However to really nail it I woul like to be able to add some formatting like bold and color changes under certain conditions.

My research so far points towards this not beign poissible, but Im struggling to beleive that this is true.

Any pointers anyone??

You can use a column's propery "use value as color", or viewicons to draw attention, but bold.... not that I know!

PS: use value as color will only change the color of entire cells; not phrases inside a cell!

Hi Crak,

Yes Im aware of this, but it isnt going to work on something like this

@If(dimensionCountry!="";dimensionCountry + " / " + dimensionRegion + " - PROFILE";secDimension + " - PROFILE")

where I may want to make any secDimesion values be in red. Is it?

Commented:
No, as CRAK says, the color will work on the entire column cell.

Sure you can: display of secDimension in your formula is linked to dimensionCountry. Simply use that evaluation again!
Here's an example in red and blue....

@If(
   dimensionCountry="";
   "ffaaaa":"ff0000";
   "aaaaff":"0000ff")

Another column could reset those colors

it is fine if it works on the entire cell.

is it possible to make this conditional whereby if dimensionCountry=!"" then the outcome is red but in not it is black.

I cannot see how the 'use value as color" will achieve this?

I may have misunderstoond that a bit..... thanks Marilyn.
But would it matter much if you'd change "- PROFILE"'s color as well? Being a constant?

Author

Commented:
no it wouldnt matter at all

@If(dimensionCountry!="";dimensionCountry + " / " + dimensionRegion + " - PROFILE";secDimension + " - PROFILE")

crank Ill increase the points if you can.

thanks

You are using 2 columns, aren't you?

First the one marked "use value as color" (hidden)
Second the one showing the values (your own formula)
