Redundant Internet connection
We run a small web application that we connect on the back-end with our internal legacy DB app. Recently, we started having issues with our business Cable internet. It has the bandwidth, but not the reliability. We want to look into a backup internet connection. Our current network setup:
Business Cable Broadband -> Cisco PIX 506e -> Dell PowerConnect 3324 Managed Switch -> Servers and workstations
We were thinking a T1 and dropping our cable down to basic. The T1 would take the brunt of the data upload and we have the Cable as backup and load balancing on the down. How would I go about doing this? Can I keep the PIX?
Thanks,
Traigo
