issue with high system idle process on server within a domain.

Hi Guys,

I have a server within a domain that keeps freezing on me.  I have to do a hard shutdown to get it to restart.  When I go to the task manager, the system idle process is at 99%.  Any suggestions?

are you running any type of antivirus on the server?  sometimes that can be a cause.  You might want to take a look at the NIC and see if there is an influx of traffic going through the NIC.  here are a couple links that might help

Actually, when I came in this morning, the air conditioner in the server room was not working.  It was 81 degrees in there instead of the usual 68 degrees.  If overheating is the case, what should I do?  Shut down the server for a while and let it cool down?
