Printer Recommendations for letter sized label sheets (avery 51xx)

they've had hp 1320's, and have feed troubles, tried a 2605 when "single pass" was wanted (they didn't need the color) and it wouldn't even pickup, just called it a 'jam' at the bottom of the feed path; then tried 2015 per HP support, that sucked the same.  then that HP rep said to try business inkjet 2300 (i've used the 1200's so i see the logic) - this is for barcode lables so we had only been looking at lasers, but we gave it a shot.

now, b/c of the offset 3 drive/pickup wheels, and the back of the label sheets being "waxy/slick" (avery style) the feed is 'low' and the printing skewed (we even printed config pages from the printer's firmware and when on 'labels' they exhibited the same symptoms as anything through software)

so, the apps and our label templates "align" fine on lasers, but we have jams/feed issues.  On the business inkjet, we have no feed/jamming but crap for alignment.

this is for small retail store, so they can't use a personal label (one at at time'er) as they print 150 labels at a time (5 sheets of 30), but can't seem to find a printer that fits the mold.

what say you?
