Error when ttrying to run the CIECW on SBS 2003: Unspecified Error

and an OK button and that's the end of the show..... nothing else happens. I think I might have stumbled onto another symptom of a deeper problem with this server: the other symptom is that I cannot get the ActiveSync Direct Push routine to work without errors on the PDA phone - been doing tons of reading up on the Direct Push technology. I'm not finding much on this error so far so I'm posting here now hoping to resolve this in a couple of hours if at all possible. I just installed all the lates service packs a week or two ago on this server (the final SBS SP1 patch ran for hours..... overnight) so I'm pretty sure it's fully patched. Thanks for any insight.
