Concern with restarting Exchange Information Store - Exchange 2003

Hello Everyone,

We have just increased the mailbox size on an important email address; unfortunately the change is mot being reflected quick enough. Upon searching here, the solution appears to be to restart the Exchange Information Store.

My concern with doing this is the Exchange outage downtime and any other potential problems.

Easy question for you all - what sort of (if any) Exchange outage are we likely to experience when restarting the Exchange Information Store and are there any likely potential problems?
