Multiple variables = one variable in php

Last Modified: 2008-02-01
I want a group of variables to equal one variable in a statement and have tried to use && or AND but it doesn't work:

$v1 = '0';
$v2 = 'ZERO';

if ( $v1 == '0') {
$v3 && $v4 && $v5 && $v6 = $v2;

I use the same variables over and over again and would like to shorten them but getting stuck. Currently I do it the long way like this:

if ( $v1 == '0') {
$v3 = $v2;
$v4 = $v2;
$v5 = $v2;
$v6 = $v2;

I really appreciate your help :-)
