Setting Minimum-Maximum password age

i am in the middle of having every users change thier password at next log on, my question is buy setting the maximum password age to 180 days will this affect those users that have not been configured to change at next logon yet?

This change will have to be done on the domain policy (Note: you did not make this change in an OU right)
you can t have different password ages for different groups of users
so yes, after their next logon, it will affect them

no i have not applied it yet to the GPO. the question is out of 500 users i have changed about 200 users to change at next logon. everything went fine but i want to set the security policy to 180 days. do i need to wait untill i have every one done. there has been not password age applied in this domain ever. i would guess that no one that has changed thier password in the last 6 months will be affected by this policy and will not beable to log inif i apply it now.?
