Emerson Television Problem - Picture Offscreen

I've had an Emerson television for a bit now (model ewf2004a) and one thing has always bugged me. Usually it's not noticable, but some DVD menus/video game reveal that the borders of the image appearing on the tv is getting cut off by a pretty substantial amount (1-2 inches). This results in not always being able to read text or see graphics that are set too high or low in the picture. I've tried plugging different devices into both inputs and the result is the same, leading me to assume fault on part of the T.V. Also, I'm using composite cables (? the yellow, red, white ones) to hook things up to the television. I also checked the manual but it didn't seem to help.

I don't know if it helps or not, but the television also has a "game" mode which only seems to make the screen darker.

are you sure that your tv picture properties its not set up to cinematic....I just purchased a 32lcd RCA Tv and 2 days later i notice that my full screen movies were missing the subtitles and parts of the picture as soon as i set it to standar or full scree depending on your menu the images went back to normal. I tried using my xbox and my ps3 and i got the same issue on games or movies that were not widescreen also regular cable was affected

presss menu on your remote and the look for picture setting there should be a setting that says video mode...

Yeah, I thought of that too - unfortunately, there are no such options in my TV menu. Just settings for contrast, color, brightness, etc. - nothing that affects the position of the screen image.

Also, I'm losing more like .5-1.5 inches - not 1-2
yes i just noticed that ther is no such an option on your tv by reading the manual....i dont know what to tell you mate you could take it to a local shop that mght be better it could be a OS issue.
