spoolsv.exe process nearly 100%

I have recently setup four remote sites to connect via VPN to a terminal server runnning RAS at the head office. Each remote site has 2 printers which I have shared from the remote locations. When the VPNs are connected I have added all the printers from the remote sites to the terminal servers printer list as network printers.

After doing this I have noticed that 80% of the terminal servers processors are being used by the spoolsv.exe process.

Why is this using so much processing and how can I correct this?

Thank a bunch.
