Getting firewall to allow apps to access internet when at home but using a work (restricted access) laptop
I have a work laptop running Symantec Client Firewall. I am overseas on business for several months and so this is my only computer. My problem is that when I'm at home plugged into my cable internet I'm prevented from running some personal apps (ie podcast client, firefox etc.). Not being able to use firefox is in particular quite frustrating particularly because it works when I am on my work network but not on my home network.
I have admin rights for windows but not to configure the firewall.
Is there anyway that I can get my apps to run at home?
