Is there a way to time limit an MP3 file for say 2 weeks of play using any media player?
I need to encrypt an mp3 file for download that has a time limit that can be set. The file would then need to be able to play in any media player. Thanks in advance for your help!

for that you'll have to seek help from windows media encoder manual -- RTFM comes first ;)
I have heard of MP3 with time limits set to them.
however as i understand it is easy to remove, as the MP3 format is an open source format. meaning that its is very easy for programmers to know what is going on and to remove the protection. It will also only work in some media players not all as you need it to.
Like Xpj1le said WMA files have this built in and do play back in almost all media player you are likely to come accross. and the difference in sound quility is almost no-existence

JaneArcher1: MP3 is most definitely not open source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3#Licensing_and_patent_issues.
