Using IBM 24P2424 DLT VS 80 Tape Drive in New Server

I just built my new server and am using an IBM S5000Vsa motherboard which has 1 PCI / 2 PCIe-x4 / 2 PCI-x slots.  I want to transfer my SCSI tape drive to the new server and would like some recommendations on a good <$100 SCSI adapter for my board.  I would have just bought one already if it wasn't that I don't know much about SCSI and am not sure if there is are certain cards better for RAID and some for TAPE drives...any advice would be great.

I labeled it on the header - IBM 24P2424 DLT VS 80 Tape Drive.  Is this one any good - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16816123102...I've never heard of this brand.
You need an LVD capable card and there arn't many new, retail, for under a $100 bucks.

Adaptec is the gold standard of SCSI with LSI logic being the number 2 reccomendation.

New retail starts in the $200 range,so pick your poison.

If ,you want under a $100 bucks it's gonna be oem or used

I just looked in the Hardware compatibility list for my board and the only SCSI PCI card approved by intel is the LSI LSI20160 which sells on newegg for $90.  I just went with this one since it's the only one tested to work so far on my board.  Thanks for the advice though...will advise how it works when it gets here.
All HW must meet a certian spec, the big issues are drivers and how well they are supported by the software vendors (M$ and whoever makes your backup software).

Well, being in Intel's "Tested Hardware and Operating System List" for my board kind of insinuates that the drivers and software have been tested to work no?
