DHCP Errors: 1010, 1014, 1016 and j50.chk

I've been getting the above DHCP errors occuring in the event log, all of which have the same description:

The DHCP service encountered the following error while cleaning  up the database:
An error occurred while accessing the DHCP database. Look at the
DHCP server event log for more information on this error.

I have checked the A/V and auto-protect and scheduled scans exclude the DHCP folder in system32.

Upon checking, the time of the above event log occurances matches this messages in the DHCP log files:

14:26:26,Database Cleanup Begin,,,,

Also in the DHCP folder is j50.chk (recovered fragments file) which makes me wonder is something is corupting the DHCP database?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Well I currently have users working on this server so later on tonight I will try the 'last comment on the first page'

Many thanks for your swift responses.

I will keep you posted.
I tried to follow the post and unauthorise the DHCP server and get a 'The parameter is incorrect'

Tried to restart the service then unauthorise DHCP but still no joy.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Well, the other night I stopped the DHCP service, deleted the j50.chk file and ran a CHKDSK with all the options.

When server rebooted I re-enabled the DHCP server and since then have had no problems, I will keep my eye on the situation and probably award points Monday / Tuesday

Thanks

Well so far the problem seems to have been resolved.

I have split the points as both your answers were similar.

Many thanks for your help.
