Reset Admin Password On Fortigate
I have a fortigate 60 and can not find the password that was originally set with the box. There is a way to connect to the box via a console cable and reset the admin password. It is something like this:
If you have console access to this box, you are able to get root access
or more by using the Username: maintainer
Password: pbcpbn[here should you type the serialnr. of the box, the
characters should be in Capital letters.]
I have tried this a few times and have no success. I do not believe I am getting the password right. I have tried the passwords:
pbcpbnFGT-123456789012
pbcpbnFGT123456789012
pbcpbn123456789012
FGT-123456789012
FGT123456789012
123456789012
where 123456789012 is the serial number of my box. Does anybody else know what I can do? Thanks.

ASKER
Thanks for replying. I don't necessarily want to call them because I won't get any support unless I have a valid support agreement. I don't want to pay $500 for them to help me with one question. They have a pay-per-call option but I dont want to pay the $100 and a few change that they want.
What OS version is on the Fortigate?
