Can you try opening the archive database in Domino Designer?<br />
Look under forms and see if you can see the memo form.<br />

If not, you could try opening your mailfile in Designer and copying the memo form across to your archive database.<br />

unfortunately no, i dont have Domino Designer and dont have access to it. I only have access to using Lotus Notes. (using version 7)

I would check what the design template is , and do a replace design if needed.<br />

An archive of emails have been created to reduce inbox size. The archive does not have any encryption set. When i open the archive, a pop up comes up saying &quot;Cannot locate form: Memo&quot; , followed by &quot;Cannot locate Default Form&quot;. I can see the emails in there but once again, when I click on an email to open it, I get the same 2 messages. I have looked everwhere in my location documents to make sure all settings are correct. tried to refresh design - was not able to. tried to replace design - not authorized. <br />

Lotus Software produced the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet program, and later developed Lotus Notes, a groupware and email system.
