I'm having trouble with this query, I'm trying to COUNT two seperate fields in the table and add them together in order to have a total count, I get this error with my query

Invalid Memo, OLE, or Hyperlink Object in subquery 'addcampaign2'.

The fields are MEMO fields

here is the query

"SELECT (SELECT addcampaign1, Count(addcampaign1) FROM submitted) + (SELECT addcampaign2, Count (addcampaign2) FROM submitted) FROM submitted AS [Count] GROUP BY addcampaign1 ORDER BY Count(addcampaign1) DESC"
