Need a better way to transfer data from a List<> of objects to a SQL database.

I am developing in VS2005 and I have a lot of data stuffed into a List<> of objects that I would like to dump into a SQL database.

I am currently using ADO (ExecuteNonQuery) to send the data to SQL on a record by record basis.  This seems rather ponderous--is there a better way?

I guess I was hoping for something else, but I can't quibble--it does what I need, and I don't see any other options.

Thanks for your help.

Let me know if you need help with doing it using Xml, it is really not all that complicated.
