Java error
I am running an application in Oracle forms running in Internet Explorer. When I try to open a tif image, I obtain the error/alert, "A different version of java is needed". When I click on the ignore button, I can eventually get the image to come out, but not before going through half a dozen different error popups. What should I do to overcome this? The version of Java is 1.4.2_11.

So it was a problem with the version? Any reason for the B grade?

My supervisor (who was having the problem) had to reinstall again the previous (older) version of Java before the alerts would go away. It problem has to do mainly with the Banner system (a software application used widely by universities in the U.S) that would not accept the newer Java version when it opened up the browser.
Browser Java versions can be changed by their options.
