Cisco Catalyst 4510 flex slot and moving modules

Hello experts,
I have a Cisco Catalyst 4510 with the Supervisor Engine V.  All slots are full except for slot 10 which is the flex slot.  According to the Cisco documentation, because I do not run the Supervisor Engine V-10GE, the only modules I can use in the #10 Flex Slot are the (WS-X4302-GB) and the (WS-X4604-GWY).  And it just so happens that I have a (WS-X4302-GB) in slot 9.  Ultimately, I have a (WS-X4548-GB-RJ45V) module that I want to use in this switch.

So my question is:  Can I simply move my (WS-X4302-GB) down one slot to the flex slot and put my (WS-X4548-GB-RJ45V) in the now empty slot 9?  If so, will all the configuration for the two ports on the (WS-X4302-GB) carry down from slot to slot or will I have to reconfigure them?

calvinetter,  I think you have the right solution and I'm not neglecting your input.  I just need to find some downtime to try this.

Thanks

No problem!  Let us know how it goes.
Switches / Hubs
Switches / Hubs

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol. LANs that use switches to join segments are called switched LANs or, in the case of Ethernet networks, switched Ethernet LANs. A hub is a connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports; when a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.
