Use exchange 2003 to only deal with outlook .oab files?

I have heard that there is someway of using exchange to only synchronize the outlook addressbooks.  I believe it is the .oab file of some sort.  I really want the simplest way to have 6 cpus sync and use the same outlook adress book and calander.  Something along the lines of the file that every accesses is on our SBS203 server, and everyone can access it simultaneously and make changes to it at the same time.   That sounds like it should be SO SIMPLE to do.  Surely there is a way to do this without setting up a full range of exchange options.  Han anyone ever heard of doing this.  Using exchange to only deal with the .oab files etc?
