mtz104 - seemed like the right way to go. Got HP Solutions installed, complete with icon on the Desktop. But when I launch HP Solutions, it tells me there is no HP device attached to my computer, then closes. (The HP printer had just finished printing a1 page document right from my computer. However, it is plugged into a USB hub.

You may want to try the 'manual' fix published by HP:<br />
<br />
Press ALT+CTRL+DEL on your keyboard. This opens Windows Security manager window.<br />
Then select &quot;Task Manager&quot;.<br />
Click on &quot;Processess&quot; tab<br />
<br />
Find &quot;HPQDIREC.EXE&quot; among the list of processes displayed. Select it. Click End process button<br />
<br />
Click OK and close the Task Manager window<br />
<br />
Minimize all the Windows currently open on your computer. <br />
Double click on HP Director icon<br />
This will not display anthing. However, Press &quot;alt+space&quot; on your keyboard and select option Minimize<br />
You can now find HP Director minimized in the taskbar. <br />
Right click on it then click restore.The HP Director will run in a big window

Actually, vic gave you the links to HP Solutions.<br />
And Have you restarted the computer since installing Solution Center?<br />
And have you unplugged and replugged in the USB cable on the Printer after installing Solution center?<br />

Didn't work. Solution Center just won't open. It hangs with the error message &quot;No HP products detected on this computer, blah blah.<br />

I followed all the steps. now I'm going to reboot and see if that changes anything. In the mean time, let me know if you can think of anything else.
