how to restore emails from backup

Hello All

I have my VP in my office who lost 1 month emails, its strange how he missed but he lost, and i have backup of all mailbox. i dont know how to restore them? any good way or application to restore this from tape backup..

Depends on how the backup was made:
-What backup software used (NTBackup, Backup Exec, ArcServe...)?
-Full information store backup and/or brick level (=individual mailbox)?
