Old topic But help needed sbs03 to sbs03 full migration?

I know there are several questions pertaining two migrating server to server.  I am about to attempt my first migration I'm not been successful and simply backing up in restoring the backup.  Is there a way to migrate the entire box from the old machine to the new machine?  I needit to move active directory licensing and exchange.  It is essentially a complete migration.  Does that Microsoft had any tools to aid in this?  I've seen several people refer back to a particular website I could not find the instructional portion of that site I believe I was so swing , swing something?  I'm also changing the array configuration so it makes item's like ghosting out of the question?  I know this is an old topic but I'm looking for a good solution thanks.
