monitoring requests get a responce though span port

is there any way/software that i can monitor a span port mirroing traffic on our edge router to make sure that every request is getting a responce. i am only intrested in the http traffic.

You can use Ethereal. Plug the laptop loaded with Ethereal into the SPAN destination port and you can filter on the HTTP protocol.
