Backup Exec - Backup Errors

Hello,

Have been attempting a backup on an SBS server which incorperates exchange using symantec backup exec.

Backup is to a removable hdd which is configured as a removable backup-to-disk folder in devices. Device is fine capacity wise. Data is all transfered to the device during the backup process roughly 35 gig. - All looks good right up to the last part of the varify process when the following error is recieved:
Backup- C: Win2003 SBSV-79-57344-4608 - The backup-to-disk folder that was specified for this job must be on a local NTFS volume. Create a new backup-to-disk folder on a local NTFS volume or modify the current folder, and then submit the job again.

Have included the full backup log below for refrence.

Your help is greatly appreciated as a solution is needed urgently.

Thanks

Josh

Have tried reformatting the drive to NTFS and still get the error:

Does this imply that removeable USB hard drives cannot be used for backups using Symantec Backup Exec?

You can still use Removable Storage, however you cannot do Message Level / Mailbox Level backups of Exchange and individual objects in Active Directory backups. These are options to be configured in BE.

Otherwise, you should be fine.
If you turn off the granular restore the error will go away but it does eliminate your ability to do granular restores of AD or Exchange.
Are you saying we cannot backup exchange using BE to a removable usb hard drive?
