What is The Easy Way To Reinstall SBS 2000?

hi
we have sbs 2000 with only 10 mailboxes and 2000 contacts on public folder
we want to reinstall the server and perform clean installation of sbs 2000 back again
what is the best way to keep the user SID and system stated and exchange?
can we just backup with NTbackup format the server and restore from backup??

That's not going to be a clean install... what is the problem that you are trying to fix?

hi
the problem is with the raid 5 configuration, well....its a long long story but ill tell you shortly
someone builde one of the raid virtual drive as dynamic volume, now we canot add any aditional disks
to the array. the raid just doesnt recognise the new disk, following dell suport i have to delete
this dynamic volume wich contain the exchange database and all user shared folder
if i need to calculate the time that take me to to export mailboxes public folder etc...to another mashine
(the owner of the compant dont want to buy new mashine) so its going to take me alot more time then just backup all data format the server recover the server rebuild the raid recover from backup
am i right?
If the volume only contains the Exchange Database, and not the full install of Exchange, then you can just back up the database files or move them to another partition and then restore them once you have the RAID rebuilt.  Same for the user files.  As long as your operating system is not on this RAID volume there is no reason at all to do a full reinstall.

See http://sbsurl.com/movedata for details on moving these things.

That paper says it applies to SBS2003, by the way... but it is still valid for what you need.
