I want to make images like www.curve2.com

I saw the website www.curve2.com and was amazed.They have used a fantastic combination of images.For eg.they hav made a separate image for the header and another one for the background which seem to merge seamlessly.I want to make images for my website in the same manner.Can nyone plz guide me about how to do tat??????
