Word 2003 Unable to see inserted pictures

I have a client that is using Word 2003 when you insert a picture from a file on her PC you get a rectangle box where the picture should be but you can't see the picture. Now if you print the page the picture shows up on paper. I found an article to check under Word tools/options/view and make sure the draw option is checked and it is but still no picture. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Thank you very much that worked!

Within the Tools | Options, View dialog, make sure the "Picture placeholders" checkbox is turned off. If it is on, Word just displays a rectangle to speed up screen display.
Excellent!  Thanks very much.  I'm so pleased it worked for you.
