asked on

WINRAR---How to extract multiple files?

WINRAR
I have downloaded quite a bit of software from the vendor...authenticate software from vendors.

The files are in .r01 to .r14 extensions and I do not know how to extract the files if in .r00 format.

Can anyone help.... I am using WINrar 3.07 beta, latest version and still no joy!

I have downloaded a RAR file.  When using WINRAR it now created a directory with little volume rars.  filename.r00, filename.r01, filename.r02, etc.

Can someone assist me in explaining how to complete this unpack. When I unpack the first one, it creates a folder with a bin and cue file.  When i start with the second on (filename.r01) it wants to overwrite the file exisiting.
Help?
Thanks

Just figured it out.....Just hightlghted all files .r01 to .r14 (shift and select) and then used the feature in WINRAR for "Extract FILES...." and then did this to a central location....Job done!

When you extract any of them, they will all extract the same two files and folder. You will notice that when you open any of them as well, they all seem to contain the same two files. This is because the 15 parts all make up the output.

You just need to burn the CD image now.

Thanks Mark. This is excellent.  Helps clarify also what is happening as you are right in saying that each files seems to contain the same two files--15 parts makeup the output.

I used a tool called ISO Edit 2.0 to extract the .bin and .cue to folder and then make its contents usable.

Job Done!  Thanks community.
