Assertion Failed C++ error in Office 2003

Started receiving "Assertion Failed" errors in my Office 2003 applications (Excel and Access).  Mostly when doing OLE I think.

I have several Access applications that create Excel worksheets.  The sheet starts to be created via ole, but then suddenly I get the Assertion Failed C++ message.

I am running XP SP1 and Office 2003.  Tried the Office Updates, but nothing happens, still same results.

This just suddenly started happening about one month ago.

Did you install Visual Studio by any chance?

No this link point to installation of Visual Studio.

I get this error on running MS Access then ole to Excel.  This code did not change but something is causing this to happen.  Maybe Office update?
