FTP and IE 7

Q1: Why is it that I cannot seem to open ANY FTP site using IE7?
I can easily open the needed FTP site using Firefox, but IE 7 fails everytime.  The FTP sites I am trying to go to worked fine under IE 6.  Something has changed.

Can someone tell me how to use IE 7 and open a FTP site?

Q2:  How can I use IE 7 to open a FTP site, BUT NOT be logged in as the anonymous user?  I want to log into the FTP as an authenticated user ... Again, I was able to do this just fine under IE 6, but IE 7 must have changed somethings around.

Peace!

You probably have IE6 set to Use Passive FTP.  That setting is in Internet Option (Tools -> Internet Options).  Click on the Advanced tab.  The setting is in the first section but you will probably have to scroll down one "page."  Click the box for the setting and make sure you use OK to close the window.

Unless you include the login information in the URL you will need to click on File and choose Login As to type the information in.  IE7, like IE6, will let you save the information so it can be used the next time you go to the site.

Let me know if you have a question or need more information.
